-Latest Update-

May 21, 2026

Temporary traffic controls are currently in place at the intersection of Salt Lake Boulevard and Radford Drive for the installation of new sidewalks and curbing. During this work, the right-turn lane will be narrowed. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to proceed through the area with caution. Construction activities are expected to continue for approximately three (3) weeks.

Also, a reminder that there will be one additional temporary road closure on Salt Lake Boulevard to allow the contractor to complete the tie-in work for two 24-inch gate valves at the Radford Drive and Salt Lake Boulevard intersection.  This work is currently anticipated to begin on May 27, 2025, and is expected to take approximately one (1) week to complete. Construction activities and road closures will occur daily from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

During the closure period, traffic will be detoured around Salt Lake Boulevard via Likini Street to Wanaka Street, following the same traffic pattern used during previous closuresTraffic control personnel and Honolulu Police Department officers will be onsite to assist with traffic flow and pedestrian safety.  We encourage residents and commuters to plan ahead and allow for additional travel time during construction hours.

Mahalo for your patience and understanding as this important infrastructure improvement work is completed.
