As scheduled, the fiber optic cable installation is in progress and is expected to be completed by early November. All roadway striping and sidewalks have been completed and the staging yard is currently being restored to its original condition, with landscaping along Salt Lake Boulevard to be completed within a few weeks. A pre-final inspection is expected to take place near the end of November, with final completion still scheduled for the end of this year.
A few utility-related items are also being coordinated with Hawaiian Electric which may impact the date of final acceptance, including the connections that will bring power to the new streetlights and to the irrigation system along the corridor. We're waiting on the review and implementation for this work and will share updated timing as soon as it's available.
What's Left to Complete
The project team is working through the following remaining items along Salt Lake Boulevard:

Final electrical connections to bring the new streetlights online

Fiber optic cable installation and irrigation controller connection

Jobsite driveway and restoration of the contractor's staging area

Temporary irrigation and grassing/landscaping, followed by a landscape warranty/establishment period
Cleanup and Finishing Touches
We're also tracking a punch list of smaller cleanup and finishing items, including:

General cleanup of construction debris along Salt Lake Boulevard

Patching and repainting the length of the new retaining wall
With Phase 3A nearing completion, Phase 3B is anticipated to be under contract in Spring 2027. Additional scheduling information and project updates for that phase will be communicated once the contracting process is complete.
