We want to give the community an update on the project's remaining schedule. The material needed for the fiber optic cable installation has been unavailable, which has pushed back this part of the work. Based on the latest delivery information, fiber optic cable installation is now expected to begin in mid-to-late October and take one to three weeks to complete once it starts.
A few other utility-related items are also being coordinated with Hawaiian Electric before they can move forward, including the final connections that will bring power to the new streetlights and to the irrigation system along the corridor. We're waiting on utility review and approval for this work and will share updated timing as soon as it's available.
What's Left to Complete
The project team is working through the following remaining items along Salt Lake Boulevard:

Cleanup and Finishing Touches
We're also tracking a punch list of smaller cleanup and finishing items, including:

-
Removing vegetation growing between the sidewalk and retaining wall
-
Removing leftover expansion board material from the retaining wall and clean up
